Bravettes shutdown Capital in dominant win

Flathead held the Bruins to under 10 points in each quarter and Brynn Kossmann scored 17 points to best Capital 47-24 in Western AA girls basketball Friday evening. 


Grace Gall swished one triple and went 3-4 from the free-throw line to add 12 points for Flathead (4-14, 3-10 in Western AA games) and Caitlyn Converse chipped in seven.


Madi Emmert led Capital (9-8, 8-5) with 11 points.


Kossman scored six points early and the Bravettes defense held the Bruins to just one point in the first period. 


Emmert scored 8 points in the second period for Capital, cutting the Bravettes lead to 18 at the half, 28-10. 


Flathead maintained control in the second half, outscoring Capital 19-14 in the final two quarters.  


Kossman scored nine points in the fourth quarter to give the Bravettes their third conference win of the season.
