Dean Vincent Walston

Dean Vincent Walston, 86, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026 at his home in Casa Grande, Arizona following tiring years of battling cancer. Beside him was his beautiful, faithful wife Maryln (Dinning) Walston.
Dean was an only child, born in Conrad, Montana and raised on the family farm. He married Nona Marie (Beaudry) Hove from Valier, Montana, in his college years. They had three children together, Cindy (Walston) Carlson, Kevin Walston and Cheryl Walston. They divorced and he remarried Debbie (Dykstra) Walston and they raised Tera (Walston) Bos. He divorced again and found the love of his life, Maryln (Dinning) Walston some years later.
He was a very dedicated and proud Montana Highway Patrolman for 28 years. He enjoyed pistol shoots and won so many sharp shooter trophies. He was a Mason for a number of years. He got his pilot license and enjoyed flying and worked for Boeing for bit.
Dean was a prankster and enjoyed a good joke and making people smile. Maryln and he enjoyed playing bingo and cards with friends and family. They also loved taking cruises all over the world.
His parents Berniece (Mettes) Walston and Vincent Walston; and daughter Cheryl preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter Cindy and (Perry) Carlson of Michigan and children Shawn Hill, Candi Mize, Kirsten Gilead; and son Kevin Walston of New Mexico and children Shannon Walston; and Tera Bos of Montana and many wonderful grandchildren.
At his request there will be no formal services. He has been cremated and will be interred at Hillside Cemetery in Conrad, Montana with a small service at a later date.
