Aspen Orr poured in 24 points, but the Troy Trojans closed out their regular season with a 67-52 loss to Eureka in Western 7B girls basketball action Friday night.

Troy finished the regular season 7-11 overall and 0-8 in league play.

Eureka came out firing, building a 25-10 lead after the first quarter. The Lions’ fast start put Troy in an early hole, but the Trojans responded in the second quarter, matching Eureka point for point and cutting into the deficit slightly to trail 31-20 at halftime.

Troy found its rhythm offensively in the third quarter, scoring 18 points. However, Eureka answered with 21 points of its own in the frame to maintain control, leading 52-38 heading into the final quarter.

Orr’s 24 points led all Troy scorers, while Nautika Larson and Kirsti Jellesed each added 11.

Troy added 14 points in the fourth quarter but was unable to make a dent in Eureka’s lead as the Lions secured the 15-point win.
