Ronan got off to a fast start against Libby Saturday night, as the Maidens notched a 55-28 victory in Northwest A Conference girls basketball action.

Libby honored its seniors, including player and pep band member Selena Schnackenberg, pep band members Aubrey Davis, Tyler Stewart and Teague Thompson, and cheer team members Ashlenn James.

Ronan (6-12 overall, 5-7 Northwest A) built momentum early, holding the Lady Loggers scoreless in the first quarter while taking a 14-0 lead. The Maidens extended the advantage in the second quarter, outscoring Libby 19-9 to carry a 33-9 lead into halftime.

Neveah Perez led a balanced Ronan scoring effort with 14 points, including 10 in the first half. Neffertiti Stewart added 11 points.

Libby (2-16, 0-12) found more rhythm in the second half, scoring eight points in the third quarter and 11 in the fourth, but the early deficit was too much to overcome.

Leah Rusdahl led the Lady Loggers with seven points, while Rylee Delmas added six.

Ronan led 45-17 after three quarters before Libby closed the game with its strongest quarter, scoring 11 points.

The Lady Loggers ended the regular season on a 13-game losing streak by an average of 30.2 ppg.

The Lady Loggers played Thursday evening in Browning in a Class A Western play-in game. The Lady Indians won both games during the regular season, including 61-5 and 45-28.
