Bachmeier catches fire, Capital bests Wolfpack

HELENA — Kyle Bachmeier swished four triples, scoring 19 total points to lead Helena Capital past Glacier 63-43 in Western AA boys basketball on Saturday afternoon.  


Cooper Pelc made two 3-pointers in the first period to lead Glacier (6-14 overall, 3-12 in Western AA games) in scoring with 13 points. Asher Knopik added 11 and Carter Knopik contributed nine. The Wolfpack shot 10-13 from the free-throw line. 


Brett Buehler followed Bachmeier with 13 points for Capital (11-8, 8-6), and Kobe Gamradt added seven. The Bruins made all six of their triples in the second half and shot 7-8 from the line. 


Buehler scored seven points in the first half to give Capital a 31-19 lead at halftime.  


Bachmeier made three triples in the third quarter to outpace the Wolfpack 32-24 in the second half.
