Polson upsets Bigfork for divisional berth

BIGFORK — Cody Haggard scored the go-ahead basket with 15 seconds left to lift Polson to the Western A divisional and a victory over Bigfork 47-45 in a Northwest A boys play-in game Saturday.
Bigfork had a chance to win it in the final seconds, but Alex Ochs three hit back rim and bounced out to give the Pirates the upset.
Malakai Curley led Polson with 18 points, including three 3-pointers, while Haggard had 13.
Treker Hickey and Austin Savik had 17 apiece for the Vikings. Tamret Savik was held to just one point on the evening.
Polson rallied from a 32-20 halftime deficit
Bigfork finishes the season 11-9 overall, while the Pirates move to 10-10 and claim the fourth seed in the Northwest for the Western A divisional next week in Hamilton.
