Braves, Wolfpack place multiple wrestlers in Pacific NW Classic semis

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A combined 12 Kalispell wrestlers worked their way into Saturday’s semifinal round at the Pacific Northwest Classic Friday.
Nine Flathead Braves and three Glacier Wolfpack wrestlers put themselves into position to move to the championship round.
Highlighting the bunch is a trio of potential crosstown face-offs with Aidan Lake and Aiden Sweat both still alive at 120 pounds. At 175, Colton Conover and Matthew Ahner sit in the semifinals, and at 285, Jakob Berry and Noah Horn both have a chance for the title.
For the Braves, Brett Chivers, Conor Leduc, Dawson Hamland, Hunter Arriaga, Kohen Riley and Liam Leduc also notched a spot in the semis.
Six more Braves are still alive for a spot on the podium in the consolation rounds.
Glacier adds four more wrestlers with a chance to make the podium.
Flathead leads the team standings with 132.5 points, West Valley (Wash.) sits second at 89.5 and Central Valley is third at 87.5. Glacier is eighth in the standings at 63 points.
Action continues Saturday at University High School in Spokane Valley.
