Todd Brian Kotila, 57, of Kalispell, passed away on Dec. 17, 2025, after a courageous 11-year battle with cancer. He was born on May 26, 1968, to Lamont Brian Kotila and Mary Diane Kotila.

After earning a degree in classics at the University of Montana, Todd’s natural affinity for business led him into several careers, sometimes incorporating his love of teaching. His faith and pursuit of Christ led to his serving the community as both headmaster and pastor, encouraging families and the community to love God and each other deeply and genuinely.

Always fond of a good joke or a well told story, Todd also loved camping, fishing, "turning wrenches" on a motorcycle or truck, music, writing, trap shooting and football. More than a good time, these activities were quality time — an opportunity to share kindness, generosity, and love with the many co-workers, church members, former students, and others who became friends.

Todd was devoted to his family, and his marriage of 36 years which means he is survived by his wife, Deanna Kotila; daughters, Amanda Kotila and Marea (Kotila) Dupea; son-in-law, Daniel Dupea; and grandsons, Forest, Fergus and Axel.

The family would like to offer gratitude to the many friends who showed support and helped during his long illness, as well as the many staff of oncology, palliative, and hospice at KRMC/Logan.

A celebration of life service will be held at Faith Covenant Church, 611 Third Ave. E., Kalispell at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10.
