The Lady Tigers fought the good fight but the visiting Charlo Vikings managed to go on a run, build a big lead and hold on to win 54-31 in District 14C basketball action in St. Regis Saturday.

Coach Zack Lott and his Tigers have two home games this week, hosting in another 14C contest Friday and entertaining Seeley-Swan in a non-conference encounter Saturday.

Lott thought his team played well against Charlo. “It was a hard-fought battle through the first two quarters but Charlo went on a 10-0 run at the end of the half,” he said, “and then had a 20-point quarter in the third. They are a very good team, take nothing away from Charlo.”

Lilly Sansom led St. Regis scoring against Charlo with nine points, Emma Gillette added seven, Shelby Simkins six, Kila Peters four and Shaina Todd three.

Zempel led Charlo with 20 points, Gigi Hawk scored 15 and Madison Harris nine for the Lady Vikings.
