Ronan boys overcome late deficit against Columbia Falls

COLUMBIA FALLS — Kolby Finley scored 11 of his 22 points in the first quarter, leading Ronan over Columbia Falls 69-62 in Class A boy's basketball Tuesday evening.  


The Chiefs only needed five players to take care of the scoring needs; four made two 3-pointers. Matiya Nenemay scored 19 points, Siouxpixm Qualtier added 13, and Jhett McDonald contributed 12. 


Nico Young led Columbia Falls in scoring with 14 points. Bjorn Pedersen added 13 and Jory Hill finished with 11. 


Finley’s hot start pushed the Chiefs to a 25-14 start after one quarter. Young scored 9 points in the second period to close the gap 35-39 at halftime for Columbia Falls. 


Ronan held the Wildcats to five points in the fourth quarter.
