Sandpoint Future 4th Grade Girls unbeaten at Missoula tourney

Full caption: The Sandpoint Future 4th Grade Girls basketball team went an undefeated 5-0 to win the Zootown "The Jump" tournament held Jan. 3 and 4 at the Pfahler Sport Specific Complex and DeSmet and Meadow Hill Middle School's, all located in the Greater Missoula Area. Sandpoint Future defeated the Lady Broncs of Frenchtown twice (34-20; 34-7), Full Court 4th of Missoula twice (26-10; 27-12) and the Dillon Beavers (26-6) to capture what was their second consecutive undefeated tournament title. With the tournament victory, the team has now qualified for the Montana Middle School State Tournament, set to be held March 6 at Fergus High in Lewistown, in addition to having already qualified for the Washington Middle School State Tournament earlier this season. Head coach Karly Malone said this past weekend was a true team effort, with every player scoring, playing team defense and contributing impactful minutes.
