Pearson, a 5-foot-10 junior point guard, scored 17 points to lead the Timberwolves past the Lewis and Clark Tigers 48-46 on Saturday at Lake City High. She is averaging 16.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game in her last three games. “Ella is one of the most coachable athletes I’ve ever had,” Lake City coach David Pratt said. “She is hungry to be the best she can be for the team to be successful. She’s unselfish and looks to build up her teammates. She was thrust into the point guard roll unexpectedly and has improved in that role every game. And is flourishing.”
