Trent T. Landreth, 64, of Whitefish, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, loyalty, and quiet strength. Trent was born on Oct. 7, 1961, in Tucson, Arizona, to Terry Lee Landreth and Marilyn Landreth.

Trent grew up in Bremerton, Washington, where he developed the strong work ethic and determination that would guide him throughout his life. He went on to attend Western Washington University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science — a foundation that launched a successful and accomplished career.

Throughout his professional life, Trent held principal and executive management roles in several enterprise technology companies, including Oracle, i2 Technologies, Formation Systems, Pivot3 and Armorers Locker. Known for his intellect, focus, and attention to detail, Trent earned the respect of colleagues who often looked to him as a trusted authority and steady leader. Later in life, driven by a desire to serve his community, Trent also served as a deputy with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office in the early 2000s, bringing the same discipline, dedication, and sense of responsibility to public service.

Trent lived an active and adventurous life. He loved skiing, hiking, and fly fishing — both locally and abroad — and embraced challenges with enthusiasm and resolve. A lifelong learner, he practiced martial arts in the Shitō-ryū style of karate and took pride in mastering difficult pursuits. One of his greatest joys was restoring his beloved '67 Camaro, a project that reflected his patience, precision, and appreciation for craftsmanship.

Above all, Trent was known for his loyalty and kindness. He was a dependable friend, a thoughtful listener, and someone who could always be counted on. His strong faith guided how he lived, loved, and served others, and he approached life with humility, generosity, and quiet confidence.

Trent was preceded in death by his parents, Terry Lee Landreth and Marilyn Landreth, and his nephew, Jacob Todd Kirk.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Frances "Lisa" Landreth, whose love anchored his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Laurie Emery (John Emery) and Terri Kirk; and his nieces and nephews, Joshua L. Kirk (Jessica Kirk), Sean T. Emery (Annie Emery), Jessica M. Kirk and Alyssa L. Athey (Kevin Athey), along with extended family and many close friends who cherished him deeply.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Feb. 16 at St. Richard Catholic Church in Columbia Falls. A graveside committal will follow with interment in a columbarium niche at St. Richards Cemetery.

Trent will be remembered as a man who lived with purpose, worked with excellence, led with kindness, and remained steadfastly loyal to those he loved. His life was one of quiet impact, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
