Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 5 days, 20 hours AGO
The Whitefish Theatre Company is holding auditions for “Brooklyn Laundry” by John Patrick Shanley, an upcoming Black Curtain production.

Sometimes big things start from little things — in this case, a bag of laundry. Fran is broke, chronically single, and terrified of making decisions. Owen sees life clearly but carries his own emotional baggage. When the two meet at a laundromat and begin a tentative connection, Fran is soon pulled back into the orbit of her demanding family, forcing her to confront what she truly wants. Written by Pulitzer Prize– and Tony Award–winning playwright John Patrick Shanley, “Brooklyn Laundry” is a heartfelt, funny, and deeply human play about family, responsibility, and choosing love even when it’s messy.
This production will be directed by Nancy Nei. The cast includes roles for one man and three women. No prior preparation is required to audition, and sides will be provided. Rehearsals will begin shortly after auditions. Performance dates are Jan. 24 and 25.
All auditions at Whitefish Theatre Company are open. No preparation or prior acting experience is necessary. All audition materials will be provided. The rehearsal process is two weeks, and the performance will have minimal set, props, and costumes, and the actors will be reading from scripts.
