Boys roundup: Saviks are double trouble as Bigfork beats C-Falls

COLUMBIA FALLS — Tamret and Austin Savik scored 14 points each and Bigfork pushed ahead in the third quarter of a 53-47 win over Columbia Falls in Northwest A boys basketball action Saturday.
Austin Savik scored seven points in the third quarter, including his second 3-pointer, as the Vikings built a 41-34 lead. Bigfork (4-3 overall, 1-0 in the Northwest A) then hit enough fourth-quarter free throws — Treker Hickey made four on the way to 11 points — to hold off the Wildcats.
Easton Brooks hit four 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 19 points for Columbia Falls (4-3, 0-2 in league). Jory Hill added 11 points for the Wildcats, including two triples.

Hobart hit three 3-pointers for Whitefish (4-2 overall, 1-0 in Northwest A games); Aiden Rickels and Jake Shors added two three each.
Tristan Andersen’s nine points led the Loggers (1-5, 0-1 in league).
