Robert “Bob” Earl Driscoll, age 80, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away Dec. 28, 2025.

Born on Nov. 21, 1945, in Louisville, Ky., Bob carried with him a lifelong commitment to understanding people and lifting them up.

Bob married Ellen Hansell on Feb. 18, 1967, and together they raised three children, Mark, Barbara and Angela. After 17 years of marriage, they parted ways but remained connected through the family they built. On July 4, 1990, Bob married Kathy Craig, embracing not only a new chapter of life but also two stepchildren and their families. Kathy preceded him in death, and their relationship remains a cherished part of his story.

Trained as a psychologist, Bob found his true calling in community service. He devoted his career to the state of Idaho, where he became known as a champion of second chances and an advocate for those who struggled to find their footing. Bob had a gift for seeing potential where others saw obstacles. He worked tirelessly to connect people with the resources they needed, always believing that dignity, support and opportunity could change a life. Bob was a human connector of people, resources, and organizations.

Bob's life was defined by his steadfast faith in humanity and his gentle yet impactful support for those facing hardship. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched through his work, his kindness and his deep commitment to community.

He is survived by his sister, Nancy; his children, Mark, Barbara and Angela; his grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his stepchildren and their families; and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A celebration of life was held at Lake City Church on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 3 p.m. English Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with his care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul of North Idaho in memory of Bob, or simply do something that makes your heart sing.
