Bella Mann signs with Division I Nicholls State

Columbia Falls senior Bella Mann will follow in her sister’s footsteps as she signed to play softball with Division I Nicholls State University last week.
Nicholls State is in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Mann’s sister, Sydney, plays for the Colonels and like Bella, was a standout Columbia Falls softball player for the Wildkats. Sydney signed with Nicholls State in 2022 and plays right field. She and Bella should be able to play a season together as Sydney will be a senior next season.
Bella is a catcher for the Wildkats and has a .343 batting average, a .476 on base percentage and has 111 put-outs heading into her senior season.
She was also a standout soccer player for the Kats with 22 goals this season, helping lead the Wildkats to a state championship this fall.
The Wildkats should be dangerous this season in softball as well, with Mann, Onnikka Lawrence and other key players returning.
They finished last year at 17-8.
Mann is the daughter of Jesse and Meghann Mann.
