A Pablo woman who admitted to dealing drugs was sentenced in District Court in Polson Jan. 8 to 15 years with the Montana Department of Corrections, 10 years suspended.

Rae’Anna Hohman, 24, entered a plea of guilty in District Court in Polson Nov. 13 to criminal distribution of dangerous drugs. The plea was entered as part of an agreement that dismisses three other felony counts of criminal possession.

She’ll serve five years with the DOC, then serve 10 years on probation. Judge John A. Mercer gave Hohman credit for having served 131 days in jail.

According to court records, on Aug. 19, 2025, drug agents learned that an informant had the ability to obtain fentanyl pills from Hohman. That same day, the agents obtained a search warrant to record the voices of Hohman and possible co-conspirators.

The informant was given a digital recorder to wear during a controlled purchase of pills and was also given $200 to make the purchase. The agents monitored the buy and watched as the informant met with Hohman and exchanged $200 for eight pills.

The informant met up with the agents afterwards and gave the eight pills of suspected fentanyl and the digital recorder to them. The pills were sent to the state crime lab for testing.

The agents monitored this same residence on Aug. 30, 2025, when an alleged supplier, Cody William Heffner, 25, arrived. Heffner was in possession of 201 pills when he was arrested.

He subsequently pled not guilty to criminal possession with intent to distribute Oct. 29, 2025, before Judge Molly Owen. She set his case for trial on April 6 and he is at liberty.
