Can you believe we are already halfway through January?

Healthy snacks provide protein, hydration, healthy fat and fiber. They also help satisfy the appetite and maintain energy.

Good examples include Greek yogurt and cottage cheese with fruit or seeds. Nut butters on crackers, celery, apple slices or hard-boiled eggs are easy and portable. Some other options include whole-grain toast or crackers with hummus, avocado, or nut butter.

Bingo is at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, here at the center. Gentle Yoga is on Wednesday, 1-2:15 p.m. If you are interested, please call Bonnie Kiser at 406-253-0177.

Main dishes served at the center include chicken with mashed potatoes, Jan. 16; fish tacos, Jan. 20; chili with fry bread, Jan. 21; and spaghetti, Jan. 23.

Everyone is welcome at our meals (young and old). Enjoy a delicious meal and good conversation. If you would like a takeout meal, please call 406-745-4462 by 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday, and by 2 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays. Meals are at 12 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, and at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays. Menus for the month are available in the center's entryway.

Our Senior Center is available for rent. If interested, please call or stop by. If you have questions about obtaining Elder Commodities, call or stop by for information and an application.
