Boys hoops: C-Falls wins big, Browning edges Bigfork

COLUMBIA FALLS — Jett Pitts scored 20 points, two more Columbia Falls players hit double figures and the Wildcats made short work of Libby in Northwest A boys basketball Thursday.

Easton Brooks and Bjorn Pedersen had 10 points each for Columbia Falls (5-3 overall, 1-2 in Northwest games). Pederson and Jory Hill had six rebounds each — Hill had four offensive boards. 

Tristan Andersen had 13 points to lead the Loggers (1-7,  0-3 in league), who committed 25 turnovers to the Wildcats’ six.

BROWNING — Royce Mad Plume scored 15 points and Browning withstood a fourth-quarter rally by Bigfork to edge the Vikings. 

Noah Butterfly added 11 for the Runnin’ Indians (5-3 overall, 2-0 in the Northwest A), who led 22-15 at halftime. 

Tamret Savik scored 14 points and Treker Hickey added 11 for the Vikings (6-4, 2-1 in league), who missed a go-ahead three at the buzzer. Savik had 11 points after halftime.
