PREP WRESTLING: Bonners Ferry goes to Post Falls

Bonners Ferry High School wrestling participated at the River City Duals at Post Falls High School, a two-day tournament on Jan. 9 and 10.  

Most wrestlers had five or six matches, giving them more match experience than a two or three match tournament as the season kicks into gear.  

Aiden Dodd finished 3-2, with his highlights being a 17-1 win and a 3-0 match that ended in 55 seconds. 

Colt Barras added two wins, one of which was 19-3. Gaige Johnson also won twice with one match ending in less than two minutes. 

Ethan Matthews went 4-2 with a biggest win of 10-0. He now has a 14-8 record on the season. 

Robert Kelsey had the quickest match for any Badgers wrestler over the weekend, winning in a breezy 48 seconds. 

Gaige Johnson had two wins, with one match ending in less than two minutes. He is 12-6 this season. 

Taylor Dodd continued to dominate, going 6-0 with the closest game being an 8-7 victory. He has a record of 22-2 this season. 

The only girl wrestling at the event, Aubree Graves went undefeated with a 6-0 record over the weekend and is 9-0 to start the season.
