The board of county commissioners of Boundary County have concluded, on account of lack of funds, to dispense with the services of the county agent for the coming year and to continue the services of the county nurse for only nine months of the year.
As a result of the large amount of publicity the Kootenai Valley is getting from the vast amount of reclamation work being done on the rich bottom lands along the river, local realty dealers are receiving many inquiries concerning available land near Bonners Ferry.
Grading work on the new county road leading from the east end of town to the Paradise Valley district was finished the first of the week.

Pack River Lumber Company made a clean breast of its economic problems to the people.
A large audience attended the school board meeting to hear a report on the sex education policy.
Cones Grocery and Cafe was sold this week to Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Colby.

The old Community Fellowship Church on Ash Street could become a 100 to 150 seat community theater. "It could really make an arts difference," said Carolyn Testa, who is spearheading the community theater idea.
The community came together to welcome home 10 year old Andrew McCoy after spending nearly two months at Sacred Heart Medical Center due to an automobile accident. Sean McCoy, Andrew's father, said they stopped at every sign and that Andrew thought it was really cool.
The third annual Moose Madness spirit competition ended up being a win-win for everyone involved with Bonners Ferry accepting the Moose Madness antlers.
