Ethel Inez (Snider) Little
The Western News | UPDATED 4 days, 1 hour AGO
Ethel Inez (Snider) Little was born on July 28, 1937, to Harry and Anne (Goodwater) Snider.
At the time the family lived in Great Falls, Montana. Ethel had six older siblings, Charles, Harvey Robinson, Pearl, Roy, Ray and Betty Snider. Ethel was the baby of the family.
She lived across Eastern Montana as her dad was a barber with a vagabond spirit. Some of the towns the family lived in were Cascade, Paradise, Great Falls, Montana. Ethel also lived in the Tri-City area of Washington State too.
Ethel developed a fondness for Eastern Montana due to open landscape and sunshiny days. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and became a rather good marksman. Her most enjoyable activity was gardening.
Ethel married William. W Little in January 1956. She gave birth to their son, Bruce in September 1956. Bruce joined his half-sister Rita, which made them a family of four. William adopted Rita as his own in October 1958 in Kalispell, Montana.
William's work career had the family moving from one construction project to the next; which required the family to live in numerous places: Great Falls, Glasgow, Somers, Conrad, Fort Smith, Condon, Forsyth, Augusta in MT and Kooskia, Chilco, St. Anthony in Idaho; finally settling in Libby, Montana.
Ethel and William were divorced in 1989 and she never remarried. She settled into her own home and life until she had to go into long term care at Cascadia of Libby where she was well taken care of in her golden years.
Those who preceded her in death are parents Harry and Anne Snider; siblings Charles Robinson, Harvey Robinson, Pearl Snider, Roy Snider, and Ray Snider; and daughter Rita Orr.
Ethel is survived by sibling Betty Sanford; son Bruce (Yvonne) Little; grandchildren Mark Little, Aimee (Little) Szabo, Jenni (Orr) O'Malley, and Matthew Orr; and great-grandchildren Teague O'Malley, Ireland O'Malley, Melina Szabo, Aliza Szabo, niece Vicki Robinson and Scott Orr.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date to celebrate Ethel’s life.
