Victim identified in wreck on Ravalli Hill

The Lake County Sheriff and Coroner's Office has identified the person killed in a head-on crash on Jan. 11 near Ravalli as 35-year-old Lyle R. Zyler of Arlee.
Zyler died after the Honda Civic he was driving collided head-on with a vehicle on Ravalli Hill at about 5:30 a.m. Jan. 11.
According to a report from the Montana Highway Patrol, the driver of the Civic was northbound in the southbound lane of Hwy. 93 when he collided with a southbound Ford F150, driven by a 35-year-old woman from St. Ignatius. The wreck occurred at around mile marker 29.
Zyler died at the scene. The driver of the truck was transported to St. Luke Hospital in Ronan for treatment of injuries sustained in the wreck. According to the report, she was wearing a seatbelt.
The roads were dry at the time of the accident.
"We extend our condolences to the family of Mr. Zyler," wrote Sheriff Don Bell in a press release.
