Dakota Shayne Pearcy, 29
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 2 months, 3 weeks AGO
Dakota, also known as Stick, Stick fish or simply Fish stick, born March 28, 1996, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, was welcomed into heaven's gates the morning of Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.
Born and raised in Coeur d’Alene and resided with her parents, Tim and Robyn Weiss, she worked as a Warehouse stocker at Doyles Wholesale for four years, where she met some amazing people who became more than friends to her; they were her second family.
Dakota loved animals, especially her two dogs, Myles and Moe. She was an outside girl from fishing, going for hikes on Tubbs Hill, riding in her car with the sunroof open, she loved going to the property with all her friends, swimming, lying out on the dock, having a few cocktails, going to all the concerts and festivals or jet skiing.
Dakota had big dreams; all she ever wanted to do was go to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower with her cousin Kaydan and walk the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. Dakota loved fashion; however, she had her own bohemian, carefree style of natural beauty.
She was one-of-a-kind; she found the good in everyone and everything; had a contagious laugh and a smile as big as a rainbow. It was Dakota's personality that everyone loved. She loved her family the most: her parents, Robyn and Tim Weiss; and her grandparents, Lari Pearcy (deceased), Dann and Cindy Pearcy. All her wonderful cousins, who are too many to list, aunts, uncles and most of all her brother Damon.
Dakota is preceded in death by her father, Gary Pritchard (Texas).
A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Yates Funeral Home will be handling all the details. Feel free to go to their website (www.yatesfuneralhomes.com) to send condolences to the family or your personal stories and memories about their beautiful daughter, Dakota Shayne.
