Gregory Robb Kemp, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, joined our loving God Dec. 8, 2025, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Greg was born Jan. 12, 1951, in Berkley, Calif., to Gavin Phillips Kemp and Roberta (Robb) Kemp Dube.

Greg grew up in a close and loving family in the San Francisco Bay Area. He attended Awalt High School in Mt. View, Calif. He spent many years working in the restaurant business and eventually owned and operated his own pizza parlor. Greg later moved to Mesa, Ariz., to be near family, and ultimately settled in Hayden Lake, Idaho, fulfilling his dream of living among mountains, trees, and lakes. In Idaho, he worked for a photography studio and U.S. Bank.

Greg loved exploring and camping in the great outdoors. He was an avid sports aficionado, model car collector, and a passionate supporter of veterans, the police force and firefighters. He had a workshop in his garage and loved the challenge of repairing anything and everything broken and always had several fix-it projects going at a time. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Greg’s most meaningful accomplishment and expression of love in life was taking care of his precious mother. Through many years of attentive care and sacrifice, he made it possible for her to remain in her home until she passed.

Greg’s greatest gift was his ability to be fully present with anyone who crossed his path. He listened intently, asked genuine and meaningful questions and saw into people’s hearts. When in Greg’s presence, people felt known and loved. His sense of humor and foibles brought laughter into the lives of his friends and family. Greg adored and was involved in the lives of his many nieces and nephews.

Surviving Greg are his siblings: Deborah Forno, David (Maggie) Kemp and Kristen (Tony) Lopes; eight nieces and nephews; and eighteen great nieces and nephews.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Jim Forno.

Greg’s Memorial Mass will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2026, at St Pius X Catholic Church on 625 E. Haycraft Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83815, followed by a burial at St Thomas Cemetery and a celebration of life at Le Peep Restaurant on 1884 W. Bellerive Unit 101 Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814, at 5 p.m. All are welcome! We are encouraging attendees to wear red, white and blue in honor of Greg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the non-profit organization Wounded Warriors, which Greg passionately supported for many years: Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 www.woundedwarriorproject.org
