The parental choice tax credit application successfully launched Thursday, according to a news release from the Idaho State Tax Commission.
The launch went live at the scheduled start time of 12:01 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. Parents began completing applications within minutes. As of Thursday afternoon, the Tax Commission had more than 3,300 applications submitted for the Idaho Parental Choice Tax Credit program.
Support staff monitored the application process and quickly resolved any issues that arose during the initial rollout, ensuring continuity and reliability for applicants. They continue to monitor program performance closely and stand ready to provide ongoing support to ensure the program operates as intended.
“This was a well-planned and well-executed implementation,” said Commissioner Janet Moyle, who serves as the oversight commissioner on this new program. “Our team worked proactively to ensure the program was ready at launch, and we remain fully available to assist families and stakeholders as they access this new opportunity.”
Applicants who are experiencing challenges with the application are encouraged to contact the commission's call center at 800-972-7660.
