MISSOULA, Mont. — Coeur d’Alene’s Dylan Coulson (103 pounds), Rocco White (110), Justus Peregrina (118), Cole Armstrong (126) and Tanner George (132) advanced to the semifinals of the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic after going 3-0 on Friday’s first day at Sentinel High.
Coeur d’Alene is seventh with 97.5 points.
“Our guys were just being aggressive and were looking to score points and not worrying about losing,” said Coeur d’Alene coach Jeff Moffat, whose team was missing four wrestlers due to illness. “Justus had a really good day and Rocco wrestled really well. Dylan fought through and got to the semis. The kids are just competing hard.”
Solomon Crowley (132) advanced to the semifinals for Lake City, which is 19th with 55 points.
Mead, which won the River City Duals at Post Falls last week, leads with 155 points.
In the girls tournament at Hellgate High, Timberlake’s Shelby Garten beat Brooklyn Wilting in 18 seconds in their 130-pound quarterfinal to advance to the semifinals.
Post Falls sends three
into semis at Tiger-Grizz
IDAHO FALLS — Gage Loftin (113 pounds), Zane Smith (215) and Xander Scholes (285) advanced to the semifinals for Post Falls, which is fourth after the first day of the Tiger-Grizz Invitational at Skyline High.
Post Falls, with eight wrestlers in the consolation bracket, has 107.5 points.
Syracuse (Utah) leads the tournament with 137.5.
Younger advances to

IDAHO FALLS — Post Falls senior Emma Younger pinned Whitney Wheeler of Idaho Falls in 1:08 in their quarterfinal match at 120 pounds to advance to the semifinals of the girls Tiger-Grizz Tournament at Skyline High.
Post Falls, which has eight wrestlers in the consolation bracket, is seventh out of 43 teams.
Eagle leads with 105 points.
Kellogg leads at
Lewiston tourney
LEWISTON — Colton Storey (113 pounds), Kevin Watson (113), Johnny Stovern (120), Aiden Figueroa (120), Carsun Hinkelmann (126) and Chase Scribner (144) advanced to the semifinals for Kellogg, which leads after the first day of the 40th Clearwater Classic at Lewiston High.
Kellogg has 119 points, followed by Tri-Valley with 94.5 and tournament host Lewiston in third with 94.
Micah Miller went 3-0 in a round robin at 98 pounds for Coeur d’Alene.
In the girls tournament, Coeur d’Alene’s Jaiden DeTienne (105A) and Brooklyn Anderson (190A) went unbeaten in round robin brackets on the tournament’s first day.
Kellogg’s Kalayah White went 2-0 at 140A.

RATHDRUM — The host Hawks had three pins and three wins via forfeit to beat the Bulldogs in the Battle for the Paddle spirit dual at Lakeland High.
Carson Leonard (120 pounds), Cole Cooper (157) and Gage McWatters (175) won by pin for Lakeland, which hosts the 5A Inland Empire League duals next Saturday.
The schools split four girls matches that were included in the dual for the first time this year.

WENDELL — Kelby Harvey (144 pounds), Zach David (150), Dylan Hansen (150), Amado Stewart (157), Aiden Yearout (165), Kristoffer Brusseau (190), Zack Sotin (190) and Rustle Brusseau (215) advanced to the semifinals for St. Maries at the Magic Valley Classic at Wendell High.
David and Hansen, as well as Sotin and Kristoffer Brusseau, are on opposite sides of the bracket.
St. Maries is second with 67.5 points, trailing tournament host Wendell, which leads with 78 points.
