Peter Allen Madsen, 60, of Pine Creek, Idaho, passed away at home Dec. 26, 2025. He was born May 28, 1965, in Watertown, S.D., and was the youngest son of Eugene and Sandra Madsen.

He grew up in Pine Creek, Idaho, attending schools in Pinehurst and Kellogg. After high school, Pete married Kimberly Griner in 1987. They had four children together, but later divorced. He worked at numerous jobs, including owning his own marine mechanic shop, but most of his working career was spent in the laborers' union. He was a hard worker his entire life. He was best known for his goofy sense of humor and could light up a room with his jokes. He lived for making people laugh. Pete was an avid collector of antiques, especially tools. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was riding his motorcycle, fishing, camping or gathering firewood. He was a proud grandpa to nine grandchildren.

Pete is survived by his children, Heather (Noah) Castro of Kingston, Donne (Chrissy) Madsen of Pinehurst, Jerad (Katie) Madsen of Hauser Lake, and Jesse (Jas) Chandel of Huntington Beach, Calif., along with his grandchildren, Stacy, Jaxon, Mayliana, Mercedes, Magnolia, Matilyn, Audri, Klair and Gabe. He is also survived by his siblings, Bill (Verlene) Madsen, Henry (Jan) Madsen and Rebecca Nordquist and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra, his father, Eugene, his brother, Bob, and his brother-in-law, Jeff Nordquist.

Please join us in celebrating Pete's life at the Pinehurst Lions Club on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 3 p.m., with a potluck to follow at the Pine Creek Tavern. Please come share your memories. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
