Annual FLIC Film Festival scheduled in Polson

The 14th annual Flathead Lake International Cinemafest brings independent cinema and animation to Polson Feb. 13, 14 and 15 at Showboat Stadium 6.
FLIC features a wide variety of full-length narrative and documentary features, shorts, animation and student films from 23 countries. Also on the schedule are Q&A sessions with filmmakers.
The film festival kicks off with a catered reception in the lobby of the movie theater at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 13. The movie theater is located at 416 Main St., Polson. The movies start at 6 p.m. on multiple screens.
On Feb. 14, FLIC and the Polson Rotary Club host a free screening of the animated children’s film, “The Bad Guys 2.” Breakfast burritos, coffee and juice will be served in the movie theater lobby. The movie starts at 9:30 a.m. Regular FLIC film screenings resume at 12:15 p.m. and go through the evening with an intermission from 4:30 to 6 p.m. During the break, ticketholders are invited to a catered mixer with filmmakers in the lobby.
On Feb. 15, a light breakfast mixer is planned at The Good Coffee Roasting Company, 214 Main St., Polson, at 9:30 a.m. with film screenings starting at noon. Drinks and baked goods from Whistle Bake Shop will be available for purchase during the breakfast mixer.
The film festival concludes at 4:30 p.m. with a free awards show and dessert reception at the movie theater where the Audience Award will also be given to festivalgoers' favorite film.
For people who are unable to attend the festival, Showboat Stadium 6 will host encore screenings Feb.16 -19.
