Dallas-based real estate firm, SHOP Development, announces the official opening of Larch House, a 39-room luxury hotel in Whitefish, with architecture and interior design led by award-winning firm Olson Kundig.

Located in the historic Railway District, adjacent to the hike-and-bike path that leads to Whitefish River and Whitefish Lake, Larch House’s 39 rooms are spread among 10 buildings.

Focal points of the property include a central courtyard with an architectural boulder garden and fire pits, a rooftop heated pool and sundeck and a private event space.

The boutique property also features original artwork from Madeline Boyle, a local Whitefish artist, in each room.

“We’re incredibly excited to officially open the doors to Larch House,” said Daniel Fuller, president of SHOP Development. “This project has always been about honoring the history of Whitefish while introducing a fresh, contemporary take on alpine hospitality. We’re thrilled to finally welcome locals and travelers into a space designed to feel both rooted and transformative.”

Guests can select from various accommodations, including spacious Cabin Suites, which include fireplaces, alcoves and neighborhood views; Larch House Suites with direct access to dining and amenities alongside unobstructed mountain views; Longhouse King Rooms with private courtyard scenes and direct outdoor access; and the cozy Larch House Queen Rooms, perfect for a solo traveler. All guest rooms and suites are designed with custom alpine furnishings, heated bathroom floors, Pendleton quilts, Grown Alchemist bath products and La Bottega robes, slippers and vanity kits.

Accommodations start at $425 per night and vary based on room type, length of stay and time of year. For more information, visit larchhouse.com.
