ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Vanessa Hood, Sandpoint Girls Wrestling

This week's Athlete of the Week is Vanessa Hood of Sandpoint Girls Wrestling.

A sophomore wrestling at 135 pounds, Vanessa, 14-4 on the season, was not scored on and won all three of her matches by pin against opponents from Boise and Lewiston to claim an individual title at the Clearwater Classic. The performance follows a 4-0 effort at the River City Duals, where she posted four consecutive victories via pin against opponents from Gallatin, Lewis & Clark, Thunder Ridge and Hanford.
