The Whitefish boys basketball team split a pair of games last week, rolling past Eureka before falling on the road to Ronan in Northwest A Conference play.
Whitefish opened the week with a dominant 56–25 win at Eureka on Tuesday, using balanced scoring and a strong defensive effort to pull away early. The Bulldogs held the Lions scoreless in the first quarter and never let Eureka gain traction.
Will Sisson led Whitefish with 13 points, while Finn Ryan added 11. Aiden Rickels and Reyd Hobart chipped in eight points apiece as 10 different Bulldogs found the scoring column. Whitefish built a 28–6 halftime lead and continued to extend the margin behind a 21-point third quarter.
Whitefish followed that performance with a tougher test Tuesday at Ronan, falling 76–48 in a Northwest A Conference matchup. Ronan used a decisive second quarter to take control, turning a slim early lead into a 39–27 halftime advantage.
Kolby Finley scored a game-high 24 points for Ronan, while Matiya Nenemay added 20, including 10 in the second quarter. The Chiefs continued to stretch the lead in the second half, outscoring Whitefish in each of the final two quarters.
Sisson again led the Bulldogs with 17 points, knocking down three 3-pointers. Leo Bungener finished with 10 points, while Rickels and Ryan added four points apiece.
With the split, Whitefish Bulldogs move to 4–4 overall and 1–2 in Northwest A Conference play.
