Chamber welcomes Polaris Medical Direct Primary Care

SANDPOINT —The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Polaris Medical Direct Primary Care to the organization with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Dr. Tessa Reinke is a board-certified family medicine physician who started Polaris Medical to provide excellent primary care for all ages focusing on patient education, wellness, disease prevention, and chronic disease management. She studied sociology and public health at Dartmouth College and then stayed in rural New Hampshire for medical school at the Dartmouth-Geisel School of Medicine. 

Dr. Reinke attended residency at Texas A&M Family Medicine Residency, where, along with learning to care for patients across the age spectrum, she undertook intensive training in women's health. She has also had the privilege to explore her interest in international medicine, working at clinics in Kenya, Honduras, and Papua New Guinea. After graduating from residency, Dr. Reinke worked as a full spectrum family medicine physician first in rural eastern Washington and then, more recently, in North Idaho.  

Dr. Reinke is passionate about proactive, preventative, person-centered healthcare for the whole family. She works with patients to develop a healthy lifestyle underpinned by evidence-based medicine improve overall wellbeing, prevent illness, and better manage chronic disease. She has particular interest in using food, sleep, and physical movement as tools to improve and maintain health.

Dr. Byron Haney is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with more than three decades of experience providing full-spectrum primary care to patients of all ages. Dr. Haney is deeply committed to patient-centered, evidence-based care that emphasizes prevention, wellness, and the patient-physician partnership. He has a special interest in shared medical appointments and collaborative models that enhance patient experience and outcomes. At Polaris Medical, he continues to be an evangelist for direct primary care, focusing on healthcare accessibility and long-term wellness for families.  

Jamie Cullum joined Polaris Medical as the clinical coordinator and certified medical assistant in September and brings nearly a decade of experience in patient-centered healthcare operations. Before joining the Polaris team, Jamie worked for Dr. Aaron Reinke for almost eight years, developing deep expertise in clinical workflow support, patient communication, and practice operations.
