Girls take care of Lady Loggers on the road, lose to Polson in OT at home

The Columbia Falls girls basketball team beat the Libby Lady Loggers, 58-17 on the road last week, but fell to Polson in overtime at home Tuesday 58-56 .

Onnikka Lawrence led the squad with 14 points and five rebounds. Alanis Petersen had 10, Rylee Sweeney 10 and Alexa Friske eight in the win.

Sweeney had a nice night defensively with six rebounds, three steals and seven blocks

Coach Jeremy Grilley was pleased with the Wildkats’ play against Libby.

“We stayed dialed in,” he said. “Real happy how we stayed disciplined.”

On Tuesday the Kats went to overtime against Polson. Columbia Falls got off two 3-pointers from Alexa Friske, but the second rattled out at the buzzer. 

The Kats are now 6-3 overall and 2-1 in conference, They face Browning Friday.
