Hattie Emma Kimble Johnson passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital in Polson after a brief illness on Jan. 14, 2026.
She was born to George Albert and Nellie Jeannette Weltner Kimble on Aug. 22, 1939, in Arlee. She had one brother and four sisters
In 1957 she married Elliot Mallory Johnson. They loved, laughed, took care of each other and their family for more than 54 years. Their union produced three children, Josie Rhonda, Brian Elliot and Roger Scott.
Hattie loved to travel with her husband and children, including frequent trips to the coast fishing and various cities for professional baseball and football games. For their 50th anniversary they accompanied son Brian and his wife, Julie, on a three-week tour of Europe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elliot, son Roger, parents and siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Josie, and son Brian (wife Julie); grandchildren Kristin, Ross, Cassandra and Boone; along with six great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Tucker, Paytin, Westin, Presley, Reagan and Piper.
Her favorite saying: “Whenever I find myself in the cellar of affliction, I always look about for the wine.
Child, sister, friend, wife, mother. An awesome fulfilled life!
There are no services planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Polson City Library. Memories and condolences may be sent to the family at lakefuneralhomeandcremation.com.
