Seth Ray Johnson, 35, passed away in a snowmobiling accident on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, near Roman Nose Lake.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint.
Seth was born Aug. 7, 1990, in Sandpoint, Idaho, to John and Angela Johnson. He graduated from Sandpoint High School in 2009 and participated in the Residential Carpentry program, attending the state carpentry competition in Boise.
Seth spent most of his life working in construction and was a jack-of-all-trades, skilled in running heavy equipment, woodworking, building furniture, framing, tile, and electrical work. He completed NIC’s 4-year Electrical Apprenticeship program and worked for Tork Electric with aspirations of starting his own business.
Seth married Samantha Leberman on Sept. 23, 2023, in Sandpoint. He was a family man, always willing to help his family and friends whenever they needed him. He loved snowmobiling, hiking, camping, floating the Pack River, and woodworking.
Seth is survived by his wife, Samantha Johnson of Sandpoint; three sons, Desi, Max, and Milo Johnson; father John (Connie) Johnson of Kootenai; sister Chelsea (Kadin) Conner of Hayden; nieces Sophia and Analeigha Conner; nephew Axton Conner; and grandparents Richard and Sandra Bond of Sagle. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Angie Johnson.
