Eating habits change throughout our lifetime. As we age, we require more protein and nutrient-rich foods to maintain muscle mass, maintain a healthy body weight, and reduce the risk of chronic disease.

When making food choices, choose options that are high in nutrients and limited in added sugars, saturated fat and sodium. Drink plenty of liquids such as water, flavored water or tea. Limit salt intake. Fresh and dried herbs add flavor to food without adding salt.

There will be someone here at the center on Jan. 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to mend clothing or make repairs, such as mending ripped seams or resewing buttons.

Bingo is at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, here at the center. Gentle Yoga is on Wednesday, 1-2:15 p.m. If you are interested, please call Bonnie Kiser at 406-253-0177.

Main dishes served at the center include spaghetti, Jan. 23; chicken noodle soup, Jan. 27; and cabbage rollups, Jan. 30.

Everyone is welcome at our meals (young and old). Enjoy a delicious meal and good conversation. If you would like a takeout meal, please call 406-745-4462 by 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday, and by 2 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays.

Meals are at 12 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, and at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays. Menus for the month are available in the center's entryway.

Our Senior Center is available for rent. If interested, please call or stop by. If you have questions about obtaining Elder Commodities, call or stop by for information and an application.
