C-Falls boys hand Browning first league loss

BROWNING — Jory Hill scored 20 points, 13 during a strong first half by Columbia Falls, and the Wildcats handed Browning its first Northwest A boys basketball loss Friday, 61-58.
Hill hit two of his three 3-pointers in the first half while the Wildcats (7-3 overall, 3-2 in Northwest A games) built a 38-22 lead. Browning (6-4, 3-1 in league) surged back in the final quarter behind nine points from Reis Reevis and threes from Noah Butterfly and Royce Mad Plume, but Hill added seven points in the frame to help the Cats hold on.
Bjorn Pedersen added 13 points for Columbia Falls, and teammates Jett Pitts and Caleb Mee hit two 3-pointers each. Mad Plume’s 13 points included three 3-pointers.
