Lady Trojans topple Victor, fall to Mission

The Troy girls basketball team split a pair of weekend games, bouncing back from a tough road loss to earn a convincing home victory and move to 4–4 overall on the season.

Troy opened the weekend Friday, Jan. 16, with a challenging road matchup against Class B power Mission, falling 70–25. The Bulldogs jumped out early, building a 19–10 first-quarter lead and steadily pulling away behind a strong offensive performance in each quarter.

Nautika Larson led Troy with nine points, while Olivia Hall added seven. Hailey Dungan scored five points and Aspen Orr chipped in four.

Troy responded in emphatic fashion Saturday, Jan. 17, rolling past Victor 57–32 in a dominant home performance. The Trojans set the tone early, exploding for 23 first-quarter points and never looking back.

Aspen Orr powered Troy’s offense with a game-high 21 points, leading a balanced scoring effort. Dungan followed with 12 points, while Larson added eight and Ainsley Huitron scored seven.

The Lady Trojans host Thompson Falls Thursday and play at St. Regis Saturday.
