Ramona Rose (Fish) Hlebichuk of Montgomery, Texas, passed away Jan. 6, 2026, at the age of 93. She was born July 11, 1932, in Seely, Wyo., to Helen and Dean Fish. She had one younger sibling, Don (deceased). Ramona graduated from Riverton (Wyoming) High School in 1950. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ramona was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Family was at the heart of her life — she cherished not only her immediate family but also her extended family, always making everyone feel loved, welcomed and included.

Ramona met her beloved husband, John Hlebichuk, when she needed a ride to work one day, and this kind gentleman named John offered to help. The rest is history — they married Nov. 25, 1954, and together raised three fine sons, building a life rooted in love, devotion and family values. John preceded her in death Sept. 13, 2020.

Ramona was a remarkably talented and creative woman. She loved to cook and bake and was well known for her Volkswagen lid rolls! She enjoyed camping, fishing and picking huckleberries. Ramona could sew anything, including reupholstering motorcycle seats for her sons. She was a gifted artist until allergies to oil paint forced her to stop. She was a self-taught pianist who loved to play and a competitive card player who brought laughter and fun to every gathering. She picked up golf in her retirement years and enjoyed playing with her family and friends. We can’t forget her love for gardening. Saving seeds and starting them was her passion.

She is survived by her sons, Mike (Kathy), Dale and David (Jean); her grandchildren, Chris, AJ, Jason, Justin, John, Jeremy, Chelsea, Jerry Meyer, Bruce Meyer and Barbara Andrews (husband Jack, both deceased); her great-grandchildren, Hank, Sam, Jon, Hannah, Luke, Charlotte, Haydin, Hailey, Kyle (Bertie) Meyer, Chaz Meyer, Zach (Kentlee) Meyer, Nicole (Justin) Matthiesen, Steven Andrews and Michael Andrews; and her great-great-grandchildren, Caspian and Louella Meyer, and Maverick and Maze Meyer, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Ramona was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas. In accordance with her wishes, no memorial service will be held. Those wishing to honor her memory may make memorial donations in her name to: St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8227 County Road 205, Plantersville, TX 77363.

Ramona’s legacy of love, family devotion, creativity, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her — a beautiful reminder to cherish family, both near and far.
