RENO-KARR SET WEDDING DATE
Rev. and Mrs. Gilbert J. Reno Jr. of Westmond announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Susan Lynn, to Dwight Karr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Karr of California. Miss Reno is a 1976 SHS semester graduate; Mr. Karr graduated in 1974 from high school in La Habra, Ca. A Mar. 27 wedding is set for Southside Community Church.

A GREAT PLACE FOR SKATERS
At Round Lake State Park, a 150’ x 75’ cleared ice skating area is available. Dave Russell, the park’s manager, has also provided a barrel-type warming fire for skaters. The ice skating area is within the 200-acre state park on the Dufort Road, two miles west of Hwy 95 and 8 miles south of Sandpoint. The park has pleasant terrain for cross-country skiing and sledding, and the lake is open to ice fishing. To provide a smooth skating surface, the ice is flooded periodically. Russell said the ice is now in excellent shape, but skaters can call him at 263-3489 to check on snow and ice conditions.

Jan. 25, 1951 – SON FOR E.W. PARKINS
A son was born Friday, Jan. 19, at Sacred Heart hospital, Spokane, to Mr. and Mrs. Edwin W. Parkins of this city. The little newcomer joins two sisters, Patty and Cathy, and a brother, Mike.

NEW MATERNITY WARD!
In the maternity ward at Bonner General Hospital are Mrs. Byron Chronic, Sagle, and daughter, Patricia Dee, the first child born in the new hospital; Mrs. Lila Mapes, city, and her son Eddie; and Mrs. Francis Smith, rte. 1, Sandpoint, and son, Lee Etter.

EARLY DAY RESIDENT DIES
Graveside services were held in Pinecrest cemetery today for John Boyer, 96, who died Jan. 23. Mr. Boyer was one of the colorful early day residents of this area. The Boyer family came to north Idaho prior to 1892 and established a homestead near Ponderay. A railroad siding east of the present site of Ponderay was named Boyer after the family, as was the Boyer slough.

NEW OFFICE FOR DR. TYLER
Dr. W.F. Tyler has set up temporary quarters at 511 north Second, at the home of Mrs. Susan M. Allen, across the street from the former hospital building. With the closing of the old hospital, where he maintained office space for a number of years, Dr. Tyler is looking for a new office.
