Thomas F. Dunnigan, 81

Thomas "Tommy" Francis Dunnigan passed away at home in Post Falls, Idaho, on Dec. 30, 2025. He was 81. Tommy was born Jan. 31, 1944, in Williston, N.D., to Walter and Bertha (Hanggi) Dunnigan.
He grew up in Cut Bank, Mont., and began working for Buttrey Foods, where he worked until he was drafted and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He married Muriel Rubow on Nov. 13, 1970. They later divorced.
He continued his work with Buttrey's, eventually retiring as the Meat Department Manager. His passion for his Catholic faith, automobiles, rodeo, and whiskey stayed with him through his final years.
He is survived by his sister, Kathleen Satake of Three Forks, Mont., and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Cut Bank, Mont. The service will be presided over by Fr. Matt Solarz.
