Boys hoops: Eureka 3-0 in league; Polson pair combine for 57

TROY — Logan Cuffe scored 17 points, Brody Chapman added 15 and the Eureka Lions beat Troy 61-46 in Western 7-B boys basketball action Tuesday.
Chapman scored five of his points during a 16-5 third-quarter surge by the Lions (6-5 overall, 3-0 in 7-B games), who pushed into a 44-34 lead going to the fourth. Cuffe then added five points in the final period as Eureka continued to pull away.
Carson Orr scored a game-high 18 for the Trojans (6-4, 2-2 in league), who led 29-28 at halftime.

WHITEFISH — Malakai Curley and Kyson Michel combined for 11 3-pointers and 57 points, and the Polson Pirates outscored Whitefish in Northwest A play.
Curley hit five 3-pointers on the way to 31 points; he had four threes and 17 points by halftime, when the Pirates (5-6 overall, 2-3 in the Northwest A) pushed out to a 36-19 lead.
Michel’s 26 points included six 3-pointers; he scored 13 in each half.
Will Sisson scored 18 points, 12 in the second half, for Whitefish (5-6, 1-4 in league).
