No quit in Noxon Lady Red Devils
JOHN HAMILTON | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 4 months, 2 weeks AGO
There is no quit in these Noxon Lady Red Devils.
Coach Cory Brodmerkle and her painfully young girls dropped a pair of games last week, falling 66-11 to the very good Thompson Falls Lady Hawks in Thompson Falls Tuesday and 56-18 to District 14C foe St. Regis in St. Regis Friday.
Brodmerkle loves her team and what they bring to the court each and every time out representing the colors for Noxon.
“They are a great group and work so very hard,” she said. “They don't ever give up and they are learning so much for how young they are.”
Brodmerkle said a few Lady Devils were too sick to play in St. Regis, complicating Noxon’s plans there, although they did manage to play both JV and varsity games, leading to some very tired Devils by day’s end.
Brielle MacArthur and Abigail Yoder scored five points apiece in the varsity game at St. Regis, Sandy Bonney added four, Georgia Rose two and Danni Hill one. Yoder also grabbed three steals and passed out two assists.
At Thompson Falls, Abigail Yoder counted four points, MacArthur three and Hill and Emily Yoder two apiece.
Noxon hosts Sanders County foe Hot Springs Saturday in the Red Devils’ only scheduled action this week.
