Scams continue in Bonner County
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 6 months, 3 weeks AGO
The Bonner County Sheriff's Office is once again reminding community members to be cautious of scam calls that are portraying the sheriff’s office.
According to a press release sent out by law enforcement, an unknown individual is calling Bonner County residents and impersonating the sheriff’s office, using the alias “Sgt. Davenport.”
“There is no Sgt. Davenport working for the sheriff’s office. If you receive such a call, hang up and call the sheriff’s office non-emergency number to confirm if the call is legitimate,” officials said in the press release.
Officials said the impersonator is calling community members and claiming a warrant has been issued for their arrest due to failing to report for jury duty. The individual has been reported as attempting to ask for personal information after noticing the warrant.
