SANDPOINT — The first in a series of town halls being hosted in this legislative session by District 1 lawmakers, Jim Woodward, R-Sagle, and Mark Sauter, R-Sandpoint, will take place this Saturday.

Woodward and Sauter will be making the trek across both Bonner and Boundary counties hosting three town halls on that day. The first town hall will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bonners Ferry Visitors Center, 6373 Bonner St.

That will be followed by a discussion at Sandpoint Community Hall, 204 S 1st Ave., from noon to 1:30 p.m. The legislators will wrap up the day in Priest River at the West Bonner Library, 118 Main Street, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

At the town halls, the legislators will be answering questions from the crowd as well as providing updates from the Idaho Legislature down in Boise.

The two lawmakers have committed to holding these town halls on the last Saturday of February and March, as well. However, dates and times are still being determined.
