Soles of the Flathead waltzes back to Kalispell to raise money for warming center
Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 5 days AGO
The competition heats up on the dance floor Feb. 6 at the fourth annual Soles of the Flathead.
The Flathead Warming Center’s signature fundraising event features a high‑energy dance competition starring local “celebrities” to raise money for the Kalispell nonprofit, which provides a temporary, low-barrier shelter for people experiencing homelessness.
“This event is a celebration of courage, compassion, and community,” Warming Center Executive Director Tonya Horn said. “Each dancer is stepping up not just to perform, but to shine a light on the urgent need for safe shelter in our valley. Their moves may dazzle, but their impact will be felt long after the music ends.”
“Last year, the center served hundreds of individuals during the harsh winter months, offering not just warmth, but dignity and hope,” she said.
Tickets are $66, which includes service fees and may be purchased online at wccmt.org.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. and the ballroom dancing competition starts at 7 p.m. in McClaren Hall at the Wachholz College Center, 795 Grandview Dr., Kalispell. Appetizers will be served and there will be a cash bar.
People may also donate and vote on their favorite couple at flatheadwarmingcenter.org, where more information is available.
