COEUR d’ALENE — Junior Jordan Carlson scored eight of his game-high 14 points in the first quarter for Lake City in a 75-32 win over Lakeland in a nonleague game on Wednesday at Lake City High.
Sophomore Andy Irgens scored 13 points, senior Jackson Bowman had 11 points and senior Josh Watson added 11 points and seven rebounds for Lake City (11-6), which travels to Post Falls for a 6A Inland Empire League game on Friday.
“We’ve got a lot of good players in our program,” Lake City coach James Anderson said. “To see more and more players stepping up, it’s a good sign for us.”
Peyton Hillman scored 13 points for Lakeland (7-7), which hosts Lewiston in a 5A Inland Empire League game on Friday.

SANDPOINT — Tanner George (132), Logan Nitti (157) and Brock Armstrong (190) won via technical fall for the Vikings, who claimed five victories by forfeit in a win over the Bulldogs at Sandpoint High.
Both schools will compete in the North Idaho Rumble on Friday and Saturday at Coeur d’Alene High.
Dylan Coulson won by a major decision at 106 pounds for Coeur d’Alene.
“I thought Dylan wrestled brilliantly tonight,” Coeur d’Alene coach Jeff Moffat said. “He stayed in really good position and didn’t make mistakes. He just wrestled a solid match. He was runner-up at Rocky Mountain (at Sentinel High in Missoula Jan. 17) and just continues to get better and better each week.”
