Sandpoint Future 4th Grade Girls capture home invitational title

The Sandpoint Future 4th Grade Girls basketball team won the Sandpoint Future Invitational — their fourth straight tournament win — held Saturday and Sunday at various locations throughout the Greater Sandpoint Area. The team, playing at Farmin Stidwell Elementary, beat the Lakeland Elite (23-16) before losing their first game since early November to the Spokane Nets (21-20) on Saturday. The girls bounced back on Sunday to defeat the CDA Stars (20-14) and then avenged their loss by defeating the Spokane Nets (26-20) in the championship game.
